Upendra Yadav fears parties out to derail polls Upendra Yadav, chief of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF), has said that the major parties are plotting to cancel election at the last minute. Talking to reporters in Janakpur, Tuesday, Yadav said that 'some dramatic event could be staged' to postpone the polls. He referred to recent violent incidents in Terai, the bomb explosion in a mosque and attack against MJF cadres as reasons for his worries. Jaya Prakash Prasad Gupta, senior leader of MJF, too, aired similar suspicions. The MJF, which had spearheaded the Madhes agitation in 2007 and 2008 has joined the election fray following an eight-point pact with the government. nepalnews.com sd Apr 01 08 |
